Ingredients

  • 2 fresh skinless salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Ground pepper
  • 150 ml liquid cream
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Stalks of chopped chives
  • Chives for decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan setting).
  • Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water, pat them dry with paper towels, and carefully remove the skin if it hasn’t been removed already.
  • Season the bottom side of the fillets with salt and pepper. Place them in an ovenproof dish, seasoned side down.
  • Drizzle the salmon with freshly squeezed lemon juice, then lightly season the top with salt and pepper for added flavor.
  • In a bowl, combine the liquid cream with a pinch of salt and finely chopped fresh chives. Mix well to blend the flavors.
  • Evenly pour the cream mixture over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Transfer the ovenproof dish to the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes. If the salmon pieces are smaller, reduce the cooking time to around 12 minutes to avoid overcooking.
  • Serve the baked salmon with a cold pasta salad or a flavorful spicy rice dish for a complete and satisfying meal.
